I always reset my Average when I fill-up. This way I can see what that tank, or particular brand of gas did for me. When I was using Shell and BP I was at 22mpg almost every time. Now that I've switched to Speedway (Premium is cheaper, and they don't use ethanol blends at the one I go to, and EVERYWHERE else in the area does,) I'm getting 24-27 with about 60/40% Hwy vs. City. I accidentally hit recent again (thanks Lexus remote touch-pad ) so kindly ignore the 7mpg at the end.
This really isn't bad for Winter, and I tend to let it warm up for 3-5 minutes before I head out since it's been cold.
After two months and about 3.000 kilometers, i'm quite satisfied about the consumption.
With my nx300 i usually get 15 km for liter , but sometimes i'm able to get over 19 km / liter.
Therefore i'm very happy about it !!
Mine shows city 14.8L/100KM, but manufacturer date is 10.6, is this normal? I never leave the vehicle idle and I am an experienced drive with good driving habit. Feeling something wrong with the vehicle.
That is high compared to my city consumption which is about 12L/100km with some stop/go and traffic, but if your conditions are worse such as short trips, your consumption is plausible.
If you think your drive is long enough and with minimal stop/go traffic, give it time and I bet with warmer temps and use, it will improve. Good luck!
As I filled up the NX for the final time (going to be traded next Tuesday), before resetting the trips, I am reading 29.4mpg highest with a 27.8mpg average over the last tank.
During the winter the lowest I saw was 24mpg in heavy snow.
Car will have just short of 12,000 miles on it when its traded in.
I will miss the back roads mileage as I am reduced by 1/2 with the 4R (29 vs. 18) but I will not miss the highway reverse miles in which I would only get 24mpg in the NX while on cruise at 70 (vs. 22mpg that I should be from the 4R). My wife's IS is brutal around town but actually beats me on the highway (26mpg). Boosted engines are screwy in that regard lol

29 mpg is great! Enjoy the 4Runner and despite the poor city fuel econ, at least it runs on 87.

Wow, what are you doing, if anything, to get that sort of mileage? You're in hilly PA too so that's especially great for where you are.

Smooth starts, maintain as little boost as possible, and I don't drive highways. My entire drive to and from work is backroads. And yes, my drive includes 2 hills that are over 10% grade and are 1/2 mile or longer.
I was kind of disappointed when I first got the SUV. It wasn't getting much better than my traded in Acura RDX w/ turbo. In winter w/ added ethanol, I'd usually get about 17-18 mpg in winter. summer was only slightly better at 18-18.5 mg, I was getter about 15.5-17 when the NX was new & in winter. now that it's warmed up & more miles on it, the NX is getting about 19-20.5 mpg in town. I don't get to drive out on the highway much, but the couple of times I did the last time I got 24.5 to 27 during the trip. Not bad for probably still during the break-in time. I knew it took several thousand miles before I finally got the best mileage on my RDX, so I'm hoping the NX is the same!

i'm in my 1st month of ownership and i average 24mpg. that's pretty much 50/50 highway and city driving. no complains as i think it's not bad for the size of the car. however, i'm wondering howcome on the paper it says the tank capacity is 15.9 gallons but everytime i filled up from almost completely empty, it only take 12.xx gallons to fill up. i know there's reserve but I can't imagine it being almost 3 gallons. is this the same for everybody?

I'll chime in on this one since I recently covered it on my fuel mileage posting. My Rav4 owners manual, without it laying in front of me, from recolection, turns on with "3" gallons left in the tank. Now is that an exact science? I doubt it. It has a 16.9 gal tank. 2008 Toyota Rav4 and a 2008 Toyota ISF I would assume are similar if not the same, without having read my ISF manual.
