I use BP for mine since the Camaro is tuned to 93. So I usually put 19 gallons of 93 in along with 1 gallon of 100. Helps with any misalignment on the tune. And since its right down the road from my house, very convenient.

Also keep in mind that "walmart gas" is not a consistent blend. Walmart, like any other chain, will buy gas from any company that is the cheapest. You could have BP one week, and have a bottom end refinery the next. I stay away from chains for this exact reason. They have no standards.
Technically it's not "walmart gas". The gas company is called Murphy and they use space in Walmart parking lots to set up their gas stations. I don't know if that makes a difference.

But I hear what your saying. I'm going to keep rolling with them til they screw up the mix.

Default 2015 NX 300h - Fuel Efficiency Real Stats

Hi everybody!

New here =D. So I'd purchased myself a NX300h early this year and I'd been keeping stats on the fuel efficiency of it.

Usage: Daily ~50km (~40km highway, ~10km city).
Drive: ECO 92%, Normal 4%, Sport 4%
Geo: Canada / Eastern Time Zone

Thought I'd share it with everybody here!

Welcome to the forum and nice detailed stats. Looks like you're averaging about 7.5L/100km in real word driving which is excellent! For the US folks, that's about 31 MPG.

I have been driving my NX 300h F sport in Eco mode since the purchase in early August 2015, the mpg, or km per litre has been constant between 14.4 km/l to 14.6km/l, thats about 6.85l to 6.94l per 100km.

city traffic with occasional 80km/hr (50mi/hr) expressway, I have done just under 2000 miles since August.

I am very light on my accelerator

I have noticed a 1-2 mpg drop over the past 6 weeks. I have been filling at the same gas stations. While traffic may have been a bit higher I am thinking that the Gasoline companies may have switched to the winter mix which may be affecting mpg.

"Cold weather and winter driving conditions can reduce your fuel economy significantly.

Fuel economy tests show that, in short-trip city driving, a conventional gasoline car's gas mileage is about 12% lower at 20°F than it would be at 77°F. It can drop as much as 22% for very short trips (3 to 4 miles).

The effect on hybrids is worse. Their fuel economy can drop about 31% to 34% under these conditions."

Winter blend is worse for MPG compared to the summer blend. Additionally, cold is more dense than warm air, as such, cold air will cause your car to dump in more fuel and bring mpg down.

On average, you should see 15-20% drop in mpg. My wife's car gets 24-26mpg normally, but got 19-20 during the winter. I have already noticed the NX go from 28 to 25 (and this is just 35-40F). I have also noticed that the car is more dependent upon the engine and brings in boost less frequently.

Have had my nx f sport for about a month now. Have only driven it in the city and averaging around 13.5L/100km in normal drive mode. This sound about right?

Sounds about right...

Presuming its a 300h? sounds about right, I am trying to go beyond 15L/100km... its been hovering between 14.6 and 14.9 mark.

I accelerate slowly.

I'm almost at 80% city driving and I'm getting an average of 10.7 L/100km in normal mode, after seven fill-ups.

Into my first tank after switching to the thinner LRR OEM wheels/tires from the massive 265 wide tires. What a difference. Averaging 10L/100km (24 mpg) now vs 11.5L/100km (21 mpg) mostly city.

First road trip in my new NX200T, only 600 total miles so far on car. Very impressed with the gas mileage on the non hybrid. 300 mile round trip and averaged 30.2 mpg. That includes some light in city driving as well.

I've only been driving in the city so far. What I notice most of the time is that when I use ECO mode, my fuel economy isn't as great as when I use NORMAL mode. Maybe I'm not using ECO mode properly? Under what conditions do you guys use ECO mode or NORMAL mode?
