Thanks for the post. I saw the one from Brady and he previews this one from Kyle.

This video is nicely shot and well planned. Worth spending time to watch the entire video. It was so long that there was an ad in the middle of video.

Great video for people who currently own RX and want to draw a comparison with NX. Also good to see the improvements/tweaks Lexus has made over the last new model - aka 2014 IS.

Some observations:

- Surprised to see the speaker/subwoofer is in the rear tailgate. (1:00 in the video)
- Seems that the even the regular NX does not have wood trim or there is only one trim --- silver trim (maybe wood trim is optional?)
- paddle shifters are only in F Sport (or not available in regular NX 300h)
- Despite being unnoticeable when with the rear licence plate, the rear licence plate holder area on the tailgate has a shape/indentation which echoes the rear design -- makes the NX even more consistently stylish and the attention to details Lexus has made.
- Reclining rear seats which are present in RX are still present in NX
- There are lights with switches on each inner side of the trunk --- so Lexus is not cost cutting too much on this, unlike the current 3IS.
- Since NX is smaller, only 60/40 split rear seat as opposed to 40/20/40 split in RX.

^^^ Good observations AndyL. On a similar note, I can't help but think that the door courtesy lights will make into the production model. This one in the video and the other NX's we've seen so far at Beijing, New York, etc are all pre-prod models without the lights.

Good video, and for the first time in my life I heard the letter "N" in "NX" be pronounced "in"X throughout the video.

Is this a Canada / US thing like "Zed" or "Zee" ?

this is pre-production vehicle so i dont think we can make assumption on trims for regular vehicles... but otherwise, there was F-Sport model with black wood in some of the press shots.

Great thorough video of the new NX! Doesn't look that much smaller than the current RX from the video, but I will need to sit in one before deciding if this is my next car.

I'm smitten with this NX. Well done Lexus. Some thoughts

- Same cheap key as IS, ES, GS
- LED touch illumination
- Silver fasters say Lexus on them - great detail
- NX300h sounds slow
- New RTI looks awesome
- Contoured front seats for rear passenger legroom
- High quality interior, looks to be among best in class
- Spare tire (donut) still available

I will have to see this in person but the NX doesn't look as nice inside as I would expect in this video.

They are competing with this so I will have to evaluate the price points;

The mystery of the pull tab cover was finally revealed!

It's just a small storage bin. What a let down

I however am not a BMW fan having had issues with one before. So it would not make my list.

I had numerous issues and recalls with my previous 2006 IS350 but it doesn't stop me from considering another Lexus. Dealer support and a free extended warranty for my problems helped me consider another Lexus purchase.

It's the same size as the 2013/14 RAV4.

too bad they didn't get into power (0-60, braking, etc) and mpg. Can't wait to hear some of those figures...

I have to ask. But what were they thinking when they velcroed a navigation display to the dash? That thing looks terrible.

I couldn't agree with you more. I think it brings the whole interior down a level.
