Default CARICOS 98 Picture Collection and Highlights

We have all seen the majority of these pictures, but have you noticed some of the details? To appreciate these high-res photos, from the website, right-click and open in new Tab or Window.

Some highlights:

1. You see where and how to activate the rear window washer which is new for Lexus. The motion is now to push forward on the stalk compared to turning the ****.

2. Good rear-seat legroom and cargo capacity. As Lexus states, cargo capacity is best-in-class which would imply at least 31 cu ft of cargo since the next largest ones are XC60 (30.6), Q5 (29.1), X3 (27.6), RDX (26.1). RAV4 is 38.4 and RX is 40.

3. Metal rod linking the F-Sport accelerator pedal. (For those following a plastic pedal thread in the RX forum), this is significant

4. Ooooh, that gorgeous Shimamoku wood. Would you pay a few hundred dolalrs extra to have this trim available in your market? I would.

5. Metal sill plate in the cargo area is a nice luxury touch, and looks to be also present in the F-Sport not just the 300h.

6. Is this for the 360 deg camera?

7. Love these two shots. And the headlamp washers look similar to the IS we can bet will be present in the colder markets.

Love the small details, that is what can make a car extra special.

CorradoMR2, thanks for the great find. I find the picture which shows the the trunk space very useful.

Now we can conclude that Lexus will continue to strip down plastic mouldings for the door panels and trunk lid/tailgate for some new models --- it is very obvious for an RX owner to notice the opening of the trunk space is less polished because a lot of plastic moulding is gone. In a good way, Lexus will say they reduce weight to gain better performance/handling. LOL.

This is the same movement from 2IS to 3IS...

Rear seats do not appear to go completely flat, not a huge issue on my part...
