Mechanic for LS 400 near Monterey/Santa Cruz Calif.
Hi Folks,
I am looking for a reputable mechanic for my 1999 LS 400. It has 214,000 miles. I take it to the dealer an it is expensive. I now need engine and transmission mounts and control arm bushings for about $3000. I live near Monterey Salinas, Santa Cruz Calif. Any recommendations?

Looks like your engine mounts are $50. on rock auto.

$25 to $44 for the transmission mount, need to hurry not many left.

Not sure what suspension component you need but won't be too bad.
You need a good careful mechanic or a Club member that knows the mechanics well to help. Even some of the independents are a joke as well. Here in my area the Lexus dealer is the cheaper and better option for a timing belt change and a loaner car is available as well.
