Tire retread/recapping damaged my 2IS
I have a 2006 IS350 that I just bought 4 weeks ago. While driving on hwy 4 last night, I encountered large chunks of blown semi trailer tires spread out through 3 lanes. while dodging these large chunks of tires; one of the pieces managed to fly into my lane from another car and got caught underneath my car.
From what I can see damaged at this point, the bumper is cracked from the driver side, the fog light on that side has been dislodged, every time I made a sharp turn I can hear something rubbing in the wheel well and a plastic undercarriage piece located near the rear driver side wheel is dragging on the ground.
Any one know how much this might cost me to repair? My car is sitting at the auto body shop waiting for the place to open.

Won't your auto insurance cover this? It's not like you intentionally drove into the tire debris. Sorry to hear about the high cost to repair your car. Hopefully everything gets taken care off. Good Luck.

You can't ask questions like this with no pictures, no one can give you any sort of correct answer. Not to mention EVERY shop is going to give you a different price so you can't go in and say "but the guy on the forums said it should be $2k not $5k that isn't fair!"
I'm pretty sure there's a sticky or post somewhere saying not to ask for estimates on this forum because it won't be accurate. Go ask the body shop, plan on paying your $1k deductible, there's no way it'll be under threat.
