As with EVERY large scale event, including bigger events like Evolution or HIN, there is an "assigned" roll in time. This is the best way to manage parking lot flow and parking logistics.
As for being registered that get's you into the venue. The space for you is assured. There is technically no BAD parking spot, all it means is that the spaces for the caravans have been defined since the Amped Staff is aware of how many are coming in and at the time planned. So you didn't hear it from me, but if you piggy back on to the back of a caravan, you are basically rolling in with them, but don't tell anyone.

TO CLARIFY:
REGISTERED + CARAVAN = GUARANTEED PARKING
1. To be able to park, you MUST be registered. NO EXCEPTIONS.
2. To ENSURE a parking spot, please sign up and arrive WITH a caravan.
As RMMGS4 said, in events with this many cars, the staff needs to plan for the most efficient way to park all the vehicles. Caravans are set so that 1. hopefully not everyone needs to get up super early to make their roll in times and 2. they are planned specifically to allow for timing to park 15-20 cars per caravan.

Also, it is fun to be there to see everyone roll in, meet new people, see old faces, and watch the staff set up.

You need to register per the event instructions.
You can join the Central Valley caravan and post your question on that caravan thread. The caravan lead is coming from SAC as well.
