Hi guys- A pebble cracked the windshield on my 2002 ES300. Can anyone recommend a windshield replacement shop in the Walnut Creek/Concord area? Concord Lexus wanted $1,300 for a replacement windshield (plus installation), so I'm looking at a PPG windshield installed by an independent shop. What do you think of PPG? Comments, please! -Richard W.

So I had the windshield replaced at All-Star Glass, in Concord. This cost $331.79, for a Pilkington (made in Mexico) windshield. The alternative was a PPG,for the same price, made in China- No Thanks!! All-Star admitted that the replacement glass is thinner. But so far, so good- the windshield shows no visible distortion and looks like the original in regard to tinting and "shading" (the little dots around the perimeter, mirror, etc). I don't notice any additional road noise either.
