Default 2IS sticky/melting dash/upper door trim

ok so i know theres a thread about this in the 2IS forum but i was wondering if any of the 2nd gen IS guys in norcal have experienced their dash/upper door panels getting soft/sticky causing fingernails and such to scratch the surface easily. i bought the car in hawaii and its been like that so its not like this just started for me. i've plasti dipped the tail lights/emblems/outside door chrome trim and when i took my car to lexus of conchord and got them to disable my DRL's i asked if there was any way i could get them to replace my dash and upper door trim which is the same material, their response was that whoever used plasti dip on the car (me) had obviously plasti dipped the dash and upper door pieces to be black instead of a dark blue (doubt that the dash ever comes in dark blue) and that the car is way out of warranty and they wouldn't be able to cover any of the parts/labor to fix the problem. has anyone had any luck with a dealer who was able to get the dealer to at least cover the cost of parts and that way all i'd have to pay is labor? any help is appreciated.

Go to another dealership. That doesn't look like it was plasti-dipped.

If you want Lexus to cover the part, you will have to contact corporate directly.

Where is the Lexus Corporate located?
My dashboard has large pitted areas in it, also.
Thanks.
