Need Help with door actuador- gs400- Sacramento area
HI, new to the forums and wanted to know if anyone is handy with fixing the door actuator in a gs400, sometimes the lock work sometimes they dont, read on forum with changing out the motors but not really handy or have the nesssary tools. so if someone in the sacramento area can help, can compensate for your time or know a shop with reasonable prices.
thanks

This is a loooong time known problem on the GS. I bought new actuators years ago, but never get around to fixing mine, so no practice yet how to do it.
Most of the veteran GS guys are in the bay, but there are a few guys in SAC area that "might" of done this fix. If you can pm Jon, the SAC region event coordinator "MyIS350G" and ask him who are the "active" GS guys in his area, then you can PM them.

I used these videos to help me do mine. You don't need to remove the speaker and window but I did because I have big hands/arms. The hardest part is opening up the case that holds the motor. To do that, I used a dremel to cut a channel around most of it then I pried it open with a screwdriver. Hope this helps!
