Not that I have heard or read..... Assuming you do mean a Lexus dealership.... I do not recall ANY car dealership being labeled or promoted as being "mod friendly".... But, I am new to this so maybe some other members have suggestions.

I guess what you mean by mod friendly is that they will honor the factory warranty if you end up breaking it?

I haven't really heard of one. I bet if you were nice and professional to the service advisor, most would go out of their way to help you out.

This would be pretty much dependent on your "people" skill in negotiations. I took my car to Lexus of Stevens Creek for brake work. I bought a 350 brake caliper that was salvaged which started a slow leak. I didn't expect them to fix it for free. They changed me about 155 bucks to fix it. I thought it was ok since they have to dissamble the calipers and replace the seals and clean off all the leaked brake fluid.

At least they were not being total jerks and lecturer me about modding my brakes. They were nice about it by saying that my calipers were painted and warranty only covered original parts.

What do you need done? Like shadowman said, the right advisor will go out of their way to help, just depends on what you're asking. Let me know if I can help you.

Lexus of Stevens Creek Service center has always taken care of me. I know plenty of other owners who have heavily modified cars compared to mine and they've never had any issues bringing in their car for service. Just remember to be specific with your advisor in your requests so nothing goes wrong. Things like not having them wash your car, being careful with your rims, not rotating your tires, messing with your suspension, tire pressure, etc.

Long story short, I need to get a airbag TSIB done but my local dealership didn't want to touch it because I have a aftermarket alarm system with remote start.

I have a Viper security system myself, just walk through with your advisor real quick on what buttons to push and not push prior to car drop off

Ask for Todd Rebhan. He has always taken care of me. JoshIS408 referred him to me. When he asks just say Josh V. referred you.

That's not the problem. They won't do the airbag TSIB because I have wires all over the place connected to the ECU and ignition. They are scared that something might go wrong.

Thank you. I will give him a call next week. Hopefully he can help me out.

They don't want to mess up your alarm and they may also think the install of the alarm caused the light to go on. Maybe take the alarm off???

I understand. But the dealer does not even want to touch it even if I give the dealer permission to work on it and I will take full responsibility if the alarm do not work after.

You'll have to go to another dealer

Technically...., a dealer cannot turn you down from recalls, or warranty work just becuase you have modifications, i forgot what law, but there is.

They have to have a Legit reason why your "Mod" caused that "problem" to occur.

Like:
EX: They cant turn you down for a brake system recall becuase you installed HID's
