Default 2jzgte specialist in Bay area

Any one in the Bay Area (San Francisco Area) that has a 2jzgte swap in their Lexus? Just wondering if anyone that knows a shop that specializes in the 2jzgte motor. For instance like head gasket replacements, or upgrading and tuning engine components? I know of Impact Peformance, Blacktrax but anyone know if there are other shops? thanks to anyone that can help.

If you are just replacing the head gasket, you can do it youreself. It took me 2days to get the job done. Thats including taking off the stock twins.

yeah only problem is I don't have a garage to work in right now. Until I move to my new place. Also I don't want to mess anything up such as the timing. I ain't running on stock twins. I know it's like a 14hour job? 2 days to replace the hg? damn you must know your stuff. haha

I rather do a full swap any day over the HG swap lol. Hit up Bruce at Nomura Tuning in Tracy he specializes in Supra engines and NSX only

I honestly dont know much. Timing is really easy to set. Itll be way easier since you're not on stock twins. Its the most time consuming part.

haha I am back in the SF area. it's because the turbo and manifold are custom. They aren't stock twins. They are Epik's old setup. Twin k26 turbos. The car is currently down right now. I have to get a head gasket replacement. I will also need to get the car repainted after I get it up and running again since some f-er keyed it.

Man, bad luck seem to be following you this year. Hopefully, John at Exact can help you get your can going so you can start showing off the 1GS at meets or shows soon.

what needs to be done? lmk..hg would probably take one day not including night for me to do.. depending on additional work that may be done then longer. if the block and head need to be machined then obviously way longer.. btw 5spd swap in the gs would be super fun!
