Install assistant with aftermarket HID in bay area
Hi everyone,
I just recently bought the HID kit from xenondepot to install in my 06 IS250 non-HID headlights. I'm afraid of approaching this myself and I don't have a drill to drill the hole on the dust cover of the headlight. Anybody here interested in doing or helping me out with the install? I can pay in beer and burritos or if you want to do the whole install you can send me a quote!
Where are you located? I might be able to help you out with installing them if you're in south bay. Are you running a relay harness too, or just the kit?

ooo im located in the east bay, but I don't mind traveling for some help with this! The kit already comes with a relay apparently, so i guess my answer would be yes
im from the east bay.. i might be installing some on mine this weekend if the package arrives lol.. ive done it on my past 2 cars... so maybe i can help... never tried it with a relay though... lol

oh cool. I've read that having the relay would prevent it from fires or anything. I think its the same as a usual install except with a relay in the line. Maybe we can do the install together this weekend? do you have any tools? I just don't have a drill to drill the hole
u basically just need a power drill... well u really dont.. since ur gonna have straps... my only problem is installing it for the fogs... i dont fit under the car.. haha
BTW, I recommend sealing the rubber grommet to prevent moisture buildup. I didn't seal mine, and I had some moisture built up inside after a while. LMK if you need help, I might be able to come up depending on how far you are (and if I'm free)

I thought you have to drill behind the dust cap?

I have some extra silicone sitting around at my house...just gotta find the gun to squeeze it out!
east bay, specifically hayward the kit is sitting in front of me right now, tempting to attempt the install, but i don't have a drill or a silicone gun

Get the equipment before you start. You don't want to risk moisture in the headlights!
