Hm ya, all the Shells I've been to in SJ still have the latch

The Chevron's and Shell's I've been to recently do have them removed. It is a waste of time to stand there holding the handle, so the last couple of times I just propped in a quarter to hold it open. Hadn't thought of the using the gas cap (can't with the Lexus and BMW caps since they are tethered), plus it's small and not as noticeable.

I think I recall reading that a certain brand of nozzles (SVP?) were not shutting off correctly causing overflows. So the gas stations were ordered to have the latch removed for the time being.

I think they do this on purpose to annoy us. Or maybe they do this so we wont have time to go inside the store and load up on sugar. The fight for obesity begins LOL.
