I'm new here and just bought a 2003 GS300 with 66K miles... I'm looking for a reputable shop who works on Lexus maintenance/transmissions. I don't want a dealer because I don't want to pay those dealers mark up prices.

I prefer in Milpitas/Fremont/San Jose/Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area...

On any of the CL forum sections, most questions have been answered many, many times already and some are sometimes asked several times a month. As a result you may get few replies or the replies you get are from non-veteran members who may not always have the best knowledge.

Do an ADVANCED SEARCH and enter key words for your topic.

Another way to get great info is to attend "NorCal Certified Meets" . Talking and getting to know real people instead of strangers in Cyberspace is many times more valuable as any veteran member will tell you. NorCal in particular has a large tight knit and friendly community. 5 or 6 of us vets can easily have 25+ years worh of knowledge.

Anyone else with recommendations should post on the sticky.
