Been driving up to Santa Cruz 2-3x a month for the past 2 years. Won't be making it as I am quite sick of Santa Cruz... .
If you don't go SC much, I must warn you of the huge dip in the road on Highway 17-N. Prepare for some major rubbage if you're lowered.
Just spent the whole weekend there with my gf's family. We stayed at the Carousel Motel which is directly across the street from the Boardwalk. It was pretty awesome! So convenient and easy when you're that close.
About the dip. Remember there are also 2 huge ones when going 17-S too; and it's while you are turning. Make sure you have rolled fenders if you're going down pretty fast. If not, I'd suggest going in the slow lane. There is a good possibility that the tire can catch the inner lip of your front fenders and destroy them! I think the dip is less exaggerated on the right lane, especially if you're going maybe 10mph slower. I was going about 65 today when I hit that dip today and it rubbed her plastic fenderwell liner. Mind you, her car is a bone stock 2000 Honda Accord. Imagine what it would do to a lowered or dumped Lexus!
You guys please give me a roll count on how many Lexus are going to be meeting there. Its going to be a big meet, big turnout, definitely dont want to miss it! Please PM me your name / Numbers if possible, this way we dont leave a man behind
