Default Goodguys Summer Get-Together



When: Saturday & Sunday (May 30 & 31)

Where: Alameda Fairgrounds Pleasanton

Why: First time in Goodguys history, a special indoor Race Car display, a hand-full of IMPORT CARS together with our own Goodguys CEO PRO MOD '69 Camaro Drag Car.

Who: Fatlace S14, Garage Inc EK, Modified Toys S2000 Powered '81 Toyota Starlet, and our very own... Rod Millen GS400, Mr. RMMGS4. All on display along side our friends at Goodguys.

This is Goodguys History in the making. Be there to witness true car enthusiasts that care more about the engineering then make and model.

After a seven week break between events, the Goodguys summer event season heats up in a big way this weekend in Pleasanton as the 16th Summer Get-Together offers two big days of car lovin’ fun at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds!

The event features an outdoor show & shine with over 2,500 American powered cars of all years, makes & models, plus an impressive lineup of exciting event features which include the vendor exhibits, a huge swap meet & cars for sale corral, the brand new-for Pleasanton Street Challenge Autocross, a race car exhibit (located inside the Young California Building), a pin striper’s “Brush Bash”, model car show and arts & crafts!

Both participants and spectators will also have a chance to win the Goodguys 1965 Buick LeSabre Giveaway Car! To register to win, stop by the Live 105 booth throughout the weekend! It’s gonna be a bonafide happenin’ in P-Town so bring your car, or bring yourself and your neighbors to the 16th Summer Get-Together this weekend in Pleasanton – it’s affordable fun the whole family will enjoy!

Admission Fees:
Adult General Admission: $15
Kids 7-12 $6
Kids 6 & under are free

I'll be there Sunday working the VEPA detailing products booth and of course we'll be checking out all the beautiful cars.

Thanks to Solo for the invite and the opportunity to rep at the Good Guys. We stirred a lot of interest and thanks to your efforts we got a chance to expose the American Muscle Car crowd to the import scene.

Also thanks for having the 3 of us to cruise around with you in your cart. Atleast I got to ride shotgun.

One aspect of the American Muscle car scene is about being original, different, innovative and trying not to do what someone else has already done.

Engines are a big part of that.


Blown 80 Mustang with Vortech supercharger and a lot of custom made parts.






Ford Lightning with a GMC 6-71 blower that belongs in a dragster.


This truck has gotta haul azzz








Supercharged Pontac GTO. This car looked stock on the outside, but it had a lot of painted over carbon fiber bodywork undeneath.

Well.

This is good inspiration for me to keep working on my car. Based on what I saw, I can see some areas for improvement.

I'm planning some "visible" changes to this set up by the time BOS5 comes around at the end of this month.
