Bay Area Sushi

I love j-food but I see no reason to drive long to get filled and ripped.
Kaitai, in San Jose j-town, across street from the Nijiya supermarket.
Good enough to make a jdm-hardcore dude happy.
Believe it or not, its a secret to share..

If you want some high class sushi go to Michi Sushi in Campbell. They have the most amazing rolls there... kinda pricy but you won't be disappointed. Me n my friends were feeling for some sushi one night and did a yelp search and this place popped up... once we got there we were about to leave because they were so expensive ($20+) but we said hey we're here so might as well. I tried the Jeff Garcia which was really good and my other friends tried the climax roll and something else... but all were very filling since they are not stingy with the fillings... http://www.michisushi.com/
They did a little segment about them on channel 5.

I like Sushi Sam's in San Mateo. Michi Sushi in Campbell is ok also if you are into rolls. They are both a bit on the pricier side.
There's also a small place up in the city...Sushi Zone. It's cash only and you better go early. It gets reeeaaaaallll crowded. The wait time can get up to a couple of hours (there's usually people already waiting outside before it even opens). It's very well priced.

Wow... Can't believe noone put UME SUSHI in 925 area code... If you haven't been there then you haven't ate rolls. I recommend HIGHLY to get them rolls there. Seriously EVERYTHING on that roll menu is good.

I like to go to Mioki Sushi locally in town (Fremont). It's not a fancy restaurant to impress your girl friends but for good sushi. Also it’s priced reasonably.

Been there a few times for lunch... it's good, but I don't think it's that great. Meiko is another place I frequent for lunch in the Pleasanton area. The owner of Meiko is great too.

Koo Sushi on Irving is great. If you happen to be in the Sunset area, this place is fantastic. The sushi chef is Japanese...and not Korean! Parking sucks so it's wise to carpool. Or you can take the Muni Metro line N Judah which can drop you off merely a few steps away.

2x for Koo on Irving.
Yoshi's in Alameda is good but avoid the one on Fillmore.
Jo's Honda Sushi and Happy Roll in Concord are also good.
If you really want to venture into the North Bay then Yo Sushi in Fairfield is cheap and good for the price.
I also agree on Sushi House, quality has taken a face plant there.

Wassup fellas. I know there's alot of sushi heads up in here! I just wanted to get some info and recommendations on your favorite Sushi restaurants in the Bay Area.
I'm willing to drive 50+ miles for some good Sushi!
Anybody been to Kaenyama in Fremont? It looks pretty nice.

Thanks,
Tommy
