MEETING PLACE: Starbucks Coffee
4131 El Camino Real
Palo Alto, California 94306

Park in the TOFU HOUSE parking lot.
Be careful of the semi-dirt asphalt parking lot next to it.
It's a little rough and not nice to lowered cars.

The next driveway is the semi-dirt asphalt which has been beaten down over the couple of years since we last parked there. There were no improvements or re-pavement work done whatsoever.

***STOP AND PARK HERE***
- Get on Big Basin Way (Highway 9) towards Saratoga
- Heading eastbound on Big Basin Way (smooth road 45 mph w/ radar)
- Left on Pierce Road (about a mile)
- Left on Mt. Eden Road (about 2-3 miles which turns into Stevens Canyon Road)

- Armadillo Willy's is on the left hand side (next to ROSS and Sports Authority)
***For lowered cars, BE CAREFUL of the driveway on El Camino Real side into the parking lot. There is light at the corner so just turn left at the corner light (Cezanne) into Armadillo Willy's and go around to the back side of the restaurant where there's a smoother driveway entrance for lowered cars.***
NOTE: Please make sure your tank is at least 3/4 full and not more than 1/2 empty or you won't make the entire cruise route. There are some winding twists and turns so be careful when braking hard and please yield to ALL motorcyles/bicyclists sharing the road.
Please bring a walkie talkie just in case someone gets lost or need to contact during the cruise route.
However, there will be some sections where reception will be cut off due to the elevation and surrounding barriers.
This route is laid out clearly and if you do get lost, you know where the final destination will be. Thanks for your cooperation.
I am in but only at starbucks. The car is too low to roll that route.
Or I can come with my Vitz and join the day, but I guess the Vitz is not qualify for this meet.

is this the same place that we met up for that last 2IS meet?
yes it is. however, be when you see the Starbucks, there's 3 driveways.
The first driveway enters the tiny-a-- Starbucks parking lot which is always filled up.
The next driveway is the semi-dirt asphalt which has been beaten down over the couple of years since we last parked there. There were no improvements or re-pavement work done whatsoever.
The third driveway enters the better parking lot w/ much smoother asphalt. This is the TOFU HOUSE parking lot. They are closed Sundays so their lot is open.
Skyline Blvd. – Big Basin Way – Pierce Road = 8.6 miles
Mt. Eden Road – S. Foothill Blvd. = 5.5 miles
S. Foothill Blvd. - Armadillo Willy’s = 6.3 miles
==============================================
For those that did the first 2IS route the last time, this time around it will be the same from Page Mill Road up to Skyline and going the reverse route down into Saratoga and Cupertino (Stevens Creek County Park/Resevoir).
There will be stop and park breaks in between to allow pics and some stretching.
Overall, the route is a smooth asphalt road from beginning to end w/ a few loose gravel here and there so traction shouldn't be an issue. However, towards the last leg of the route, from Mt. Eden Road entering Stevens Canyon Road along side Stevens Creek Resevoir, due to the side of the mountain being demolished by heavy big machinery, the road gets a little dusty so your car will have a faint coating of light dust. No surprise here.
There are a few low dips in the road and being low w/ bodykit, I only lightly scraped a couple of times so it's the same as if I was driving on local and inner-city streets so there's no surprise there since I scrape all the time anyways.
And if you're like me w/ about an 3 3/4 inches (front end) off the ground, chances are 50%that you'll scrape very lightly depending on how fast you approach a low dip in the road.
But if you're not lower than me (more than 3 3/4 inches ground clearance - front end), you'll won't scrape at all and should be ok and really enjoy the dynamics of this route. So don't let this minor issue get in your way of enjoying the route and being able to enjoy your car. Like I stated, there are only a couple, a few low laying dips in this very smooth route cause this1b0y and myself have already proof tested it.
I'm letting you folks know the truth so there's no surprises. Keepin' It Real.
I'm in for sure not sure if I'll be plus +1 or +2 but I'll be there. With some new goodies on the car. Will be in the shop for the final mods next week.
