Default where do you guys wash your IS

hello everyone~
I was wondering where you guys go to wash your IS..
I know it will be the best if I can wash it at home, but since I no longer
live in a house I can't do that anymore..

so, please let me know if there is a decent place where I can take
my IS to get washed..
I'm in Alameda but I go to Cal, so Berkeley is fine too..

thanks everyone and have a great day!

If you want Alameda there is Fellow Charlie (self wash) off park st. near *** Hill grocery. High St. car wash (full service) next to home depot. *** hill car wash (touchless) off Park st. and South Shore car wash (full service) next to Sushi House at the end of Park St.

I usually do it myself. I do my own details, it's so tedious at times though so I go to a touchless car wash off Shoreline and Middlefield here in Mountain view. Here's a picture of my car after one of my typical details. If anyone wants me to detail their car. PM me!

can you tell me more about the touchless wash at that
chevron? is the water treated for softness? do you
have to wipe down after going thru the cycle? I drive
by there when I go to the bay area.

honestly, not sure about the water is "treated" or not....

they got a big blower at the end and it will blow away 80-90% of the water....I usually get back on I-80 and let it dry by itself....

hope this helps...

i wash my car on my own by hand. but kinda spoiled... work for a car dealership and they have every car detail solution/wax and microfiber cloths to work with, including some kind of ultimate degreaser (red hot...i love this stuff ) that does the job to take all the break dust and other road stuff off without any rubbing. plus buffers and a pressure washer with ionized water.

I tried the laser wash at Chevron near Hilltop today, the wait was about
30 minutes but I was really impressed with the wash. are there any
other touchless locations like this in the bay area? about in the sacramento
area? thanks!

My roommate and I go to wash his Tacoma at the Rainbow car wash in Sunnyvale. Its one of the DIY ones and its pretty cheap.
Also, SPOTTED: Teal SC300 getting detailed there about 2 weeks ago.

I live by the delta so I just back my car down the boat launch and get it all nice and wet, then I air dry it on the way back home. If you try this method, be careful not to back too far....unless you want to clean out your interior as well!

that is very bad for the environment. why? because any road grime you pick up or engine grease for example gets washed directly into the delta.

in car wash facilities, they recycle and filter the water and afterwards, discharge into a sewer treatment plant.
