Leaving the Lexus Family.
After 15 years working for Lexus, a change was a brewing!
Starting Monday, July 30th 2007 a new era in my life begins.
I have accepted a position, to go work for the Silicon Valley Auto Group. See http://www.siliconvalleyautogroup.com/ Formerly Ferrari of Los Gatos. I will primarilly be working on Bentleys and Lotus cars. The guy I am replacing went to work with the engineers for Tesla Motors. See http://www.teslamotors.com/index.php I am greatful to the two Lexus dealerships for giving me all the opportunities they have given me. But I felt that at this juncture in my life, it was time for some sort of change. I did not want to make what I call latteral moves, like working for the competition. i.e. MB, BMW, Infinity etc. It had to be some new territory for me. I felt this was it. I am very excited about my new endeavor, and look forward to July 30th and the new things I will be learning.

Btw, I will still have both Lexus cars. So, I will still be part of the LGW Core Team and a proud member of this wonderful Lexus community.

Thanks guys and gals. I have not been this excited about a new job since joining Lexus back in 1992.
*Jeff, your right about the "atmosphere". One of THE best things about this job. Sitting there in the service area and hearing the guys revving the Ferraris made the hairs on the back of my head stand up.

*Ryan, I did not want to hijack the topic of our phone conversation. I was also waiting for you to call back.
*Suneet, I'm not sure. I DO know they just moved to this location 4 months ago. And they have their dealerships scattered through out downtown Los Gatos.

*Erica, we have till my last day on friday the 27th. Definately before you leave for L.A.

Im really going to miss you at Lexus, theres gunna be something missing everything i go to work. It may be just odd noises shouted across the shop, but it will be missed
Good luck with your new job. Someday i may need you to put in a good word for me. We will still have to get together for lunch sometimes.

Will, that is a very good news. Change is always good.
No wonder your box was packed when I was there. Lotus Elise has VVTi also, and I am sure you are already an expert with it.
Don't forget to hook us up when there is a promotion at new dealership. (lol

Actually the Lotus has the MR-S motor in it. I believe their version has FI. Who'd thought something like that would have Toyota "influence"
