I have all my windows in my Tahoe tinted, the back is at 0% (5% on top of factory 15%), the front's are at 30% and (knock on wood) haven't had any problems other than being told over the loud speaker to roll all my windows down while being pulled over. That being said it really depends on how dark you go, and where you live in the Bay, and also what color car you have as the Black tint can contrast, or blend and look darker. Good luck.

I updated my personal thread with these pics but i minus well post them on here too. Had my windows tinted today. Yes even on a rainy day! I've used and have always used Tint on Wheels. He won't tint your front windows but that's ok with me. Andy's been in business for 20+ years. Has dealerships such as Lexus of Concord as a client. He'll go to your house or even your work...as long as he can plug in his extension cord. I believe he also does multiple car discounts too.

I can't find Premier Tint's Diamond Cut thread. Does anyone know where they are located?

I posted a reply back to you on that thread, but another moderator moved it, so you never saw my reply.

Premier is no longer a CL vendor and they haven't been online for 2+ years so that thread is basically dead.

Go to the Tint recommendation thread and just check with other shops on what they have to offer that is similar to it. The technology was new back then, but most shops should be able offer something similar to it today

Here's a thread about V-cool installed locally:

If you are talking about Premier Mobile Group in Fremont, then I say look elsewhere. They tinted my ISF, and had to redo a window. If it was up to me, they would be redoing couple more. I pay them premium price, so I expect quality work. Instead they will give lip service and tell you it's call "adhesive distortion," which is normal. If it is so normal why is it not on all the windows and the window that was redone? Bottom line is they charge a premium and did not deliver a premium quality job. I could have paid any Joe blow half the price and received the same if not better quality.

I'm going to head down to Best Image in San Mateo sometime next week. Going to see what kind of prices I can get for suntek carbon on all windows at 35%

For those members out there who have had experiences with Best Image, anyone I should ask for in particular? Thanks

I am looking for a tint that cuts the sun's heat, I heard 3M makes one now?

I took my Lexus to automall specialist and Sid did a great job, does he still work there?

I had a similar problem with premier's special tint also as the poster above, the thing is that when you leave the tint is wet so you don't know if that's how it would look.. I think their special heat treatment tint just have alot of distortion or maybe just the install?

I ended up getting my tint done at Faxon Garage, next to Mach III. I am very pleased so far.

Default No longer recommend AutoMall Tint Factory in Fremont

I can no longer recommend AutoMall Tint Factory in Fremont for window tinting. I had my 4th car tinted by them and they damaged my brand new 2013 RX driver door panel by taking it off. Sidney Lee the owner acknowledges the mistake and stated that he will repair the problem. It has now been over a month with many emails back and forth stating his repair guy has not gotten back to him. I advised him that he can replace my door panel, but he refused, or have my guy in the South Bay fix it by my house, also refused. He then goes on to tell me if the Lexus dealer scratched my door they would not replace it. Well I can be certain that it wouldn’t take the dealer over a month to address the problem, but would fix it immediately! Sounds to me he’s too cheap fix my door and has to wait for his guy to do the repair. I can’t believe he would screw with a long time loyal customer.

i was quoted about $360 for 5 windows using luminar film at a place near work. The owner claims he only does one car a day so he doesn't rush jobs. Does that seem a little high?

I had 5 windows tinted at Auto Tech Tinting in downtown SF awhile back.

20% rears and 45% fronts. Paid $300 and took a little over 3 hours. They did a excellent job.
