Here's my little write up experience with Auto Image at Belmont.
I chose Auto Image because I didn't see this thread and I was just attracted to the five star yelp reviews it had. It had about a hundred yelp reviews and the prices were pretty decently priced so I bit the bullet. I went there on July 7th, 2012 to get my windows tinted on my IS 250.
My first experience was pretty good. Everything looked great, besides a minor imperfection on the bottom side of my driver side window. I got use to it and I didn't notice it anymore.
On October 1st, 2012, I was pulled over while driving 20 mph on a fairly busy street in San Francisco. The cop gave me a fix-it ticket. I went back to Auto Image for them to remove my tints and I was quite surprised at how much tint removal costs.. Forty five dollars. I was like... okay... Whatever.
I decided that I needed 20% tint again, so I went back to Auto Image today. This time, the experience was quite awful. My passenger side window has a freaking "minor" imperfection that is fairly noticeable and I was not pleased. I talked to the person who did my tints and he said it is "minor" in this industry, you can't even see it. I had this back and forth conversation with him for a good five minutes and I just gave up because he already took a stand.
If that imperfection bothers me, I'm going to another shop to get that window re-tinted.. Ridiculous. Waste my time and money. For a charge of $100 for two windows, I really expected more.

spoke to vince about tinting my isf. hes charging me $440 for all 7 windows.

From reading a couple pages. I see people highly recommend Best Image in San Mateo.
Any other suggestions for tinting shops in the bay area? The closer to S.F. the better.

Place: Rocky Mountain tint in Fremont. Nice elderly very traditional Korean couple whose been tinting for 20+ years.
Price: $249 for all windows except windshield
How long: took them 2h 45 minutes
Brand they use: Llumar only
Tint % they offer: 5, 15, 35, 50, 80
Did they remove the door panel? Nope and i'm glad they didnt.

Best Image in San Mateo did my TSX and they did a really great job for $180 all windows, however on my old IS300, it was a poor job - had to take it back 3 times and still not perfect.....
I'm debating if I should have them do my IS250 F sport

Anyone know or recommend any places that have great installers for car window tinting for 3M films? Looking to tint all my car windows (front and rear). Great prices/hook ups would be appreciated thanks!
