ToyotaFest (T.O.R.C.) fans...registration opened today ! !
Hey NorCal....
Jeff here (former CL member), just wanted to pass this on if you guys don't know of it yet...
Don't wait to register, it's limited entry. I believe they only allow 300 cars in.
ToyotaFest is on (Saturday) May 12th, 2007. Gathering of Toyota/Lexus/Scion of all years. Looks like this year special because of the 50th Anniversary of Toyota USA.
Looking forward on seeing some NorCal Lexus at ToyotaFest ! ! !

Please note that this is one of the NorCal supported events as listed on our activites calendar. see sticky by lightwave76 https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=265727
What this means is that this date is off limits for LGWNorCal to hold other meets on that same weekend or the previous weekend.
Since this is a SoCal event, it makes sense that we need the time and energy to prepare for the trip which would conflict with any other local meets.
Also note that this activity is organized in conjunction with Flipside909 (Ryan from SoCal) who will provide other logistics support for our visit, including hotel and other arrangements.
Many of you met Ryan at our Cruise Meet this past March 11 and saw his MANY photos posted on that thread. Also check the CL Homepage for the NUMEROUS articles that flipside909 has contributed to.
Ryan has always been supportive of NorCal and note we did have 4 SoCal members attend the cruise meet.
I hope we can return the favor and get some NorCal members to come down to this event.
Please seriously consider attending this event and note that entry to the event WILL SELL OUT.
Also note that half the fun of this activity is organizing the caravan driving down to the event. Check out these threads between past NorCal < to > SoCal caravans:

I will pass on this one.
That is 800 miles for round trip from San Jose, CA.
I just did the first oil change on wify's car 2 weeks ago, and that HIN party was the farthest trip the car has traveled (from San Jose).
I don't think I am allowed to walk-da-car that far.

Here is a question for the norcal folks that are going. Even though some of us are registered can we be group as a car club ala lgwnorcal ?
Glen, Anna, Will thoughts? I did like how all of cars were together at HIN. That way we could look after each others cars.

Since Lexus registration is limited. I already have a going list for the "grouped" lexus parking with a tent space. Everyone else will be parked regularly. I can park everyone accordingly when we're there at the day of the show i.e. SoCal/NorCal and etc.

Why, oh why, does it have to be on the weekend i'd like to celebrate my birthday and be completely wasted?!?
I just want to say, and this is no offense to the new skool Lexus peeps, but when i think TORC, i think old skool. the 1972 celica is right up top my wish list, along with the ae86 corollas. Just my .02
