Yup, Exact is the place to go. They did my front lower ball joints, among a bunch of other things in the past (eg. suspension work, brake & rotor replacement, general service and maintenance, etc), and they are the place most of us Nor Cal folks go for work on our cars.
Just moved north of SF, looking for a seasoned shop that can do maintence on my SC.
Thanks.
Exact Motorsports is our NorCal sponsor. You can do an advanced search and read feedback about them going back 5 years. They are not located in your area, but frankly I have not ever seen significant recommendations for other independents in the NorCal section. There are plenty who do drive from SF and the northbay to have work done by Exact.
It might be worth the drive for you to try them out.
another vote for exact, i always service my car there

Well, I have an oil leak and need it repaired asap. Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the South Bay that is good for repairs? I don't want to get ripped off, it is hard to find a fair mechanic.
I am in San Jose, and am looking to get my L-tuned setup installed. Any good recommendations? How many of you guys are the DIY type? If you did DIY was it fairly straight forward?
Lastly if you had to do it again, would you do it or take it somewhere to get it done?
