I stopped by Exact yesterday. I guess that was your black GS there?

There was also a white GS getting lowered.

I was there yesterday too Brian. Heard I just missed you. Jawnthen was there for his 10am appt. and saw whytry's car plus a white GS getting work done.

That makes 5 of us.

I was there to get tires mounted to my new rims.

SMALL teaser of things to come.

Yep that was me!!! I got it all done and now onto wheels. Exact told me 20's would not fit, and I should get 19's. They have the Lsportlines on sale right now. She tried to get to but them....

I talked to the guy with the White one too, he has the L-tuned S/S as well. He is getting 19's in 3 weeks he said....

I really want 20's, but we will see.....

There are always issues with having 20s. You have to be much more careful with offsets, width, tire sizes, ... but it will "fit". I think maybe John was just being cautious. He has seen enough of our cars with 20s on.

We all modified our fenders to fit and some of us still rub in certain cases. Point is, WE KNOW what to expect and if we rub, we made the decision and we won't blame it on Exact if that's our choice to go 20's.

Exact is just being cautious, cause there's been people blaming them for stupid things lately. Like if someone goes to them to lower their car, they complain that the tires are wearing out on the inside, even though Exact told them that they need to align the car after lowering especially Honda/ Acuras.

Somehow these people don't listen to their advice, then come back a couple of months later with their parents complaining about how the lowering job they did ruined their kids tires.

Bunch of dumb stuff like this. Tough business. Gotta deal with all types of people.

yeah i talked to john and he told me what happened from some of the customers.... to be fair, yes a lot of honda and what not people, but there are lexus people too... it's amazing.....

ok to be fair, fitting 20s are definitely harder than fitting 19s, a lot more work and consideration.

and also, even with 19s, if you lower it enough, you will rub the top of the wheel well. just that with 20s, you rub more easily....

heck, i have had 20s on my gs4 for more than a yr now..... except the super aggressive offset "assisted" my wife to blow my pessenger side fender, it's been nothing but great.

i have zero regret on mine

I agree, I am planning on 20's for my GS as well. That's what I thought they were doing was covering their bases with me. I told them I was from this site, they said several of you guys go there alot.

I can't believe I was still in their computer from when I had my little Civic hatchback on NOS lowered there, that was at the old Sunnyvale store over 5 years ago!!!!!

Bottom line, I was real happy with their work, and would recommend them to anybody.

Now comes the wheels!!!
