Sounds like you've been using your brakes too much =) I had my 60K service and my brakes were still at 75%.

Just got my 15K service done by John at Exact - just under $250 including synthetic oil and changing the trans oil, rotating tires, etc. First time at Exact- very friendly - John dropped me off at the Great Mall for 3 hours while he did the car and picked me up. I'll be doing my services there from now on - even though it is almost 50 miles and four Lexus dealers are between my home and Exact.

Im probably way too late on this but I had a Daizen front camber kit installed at Exact last year. I was very impressed with the amount of time it took for John to get it done. When he was finished he had set the front camber to max positive since he was aware that the car was slammed not "dropped" or "lowered". He was also aware of the fact that after the work was done I would have to continue my 3 hour journey back home. Im very impressed with a guy who seems to know a lot about anything. So don't bother asking if they can do it.

It also helps to use the Exact 20% off Coupon that we handed out at EOS7.

Use that coupon for your biggest planned labor job.

Default 1993 ES 300 Timing Belt Change Help??

Hello Everyone,
I am looking for a place to get my timing belt changed in the bay area. I live in San Carlos and want to take my car to get the timing belt changed. It has 58,000 miles on it and it is the original timing belt from 93. I have had two quotes at around $900, Is that to high. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You

Just want to thank all you CLers for the reccommendation of Exact Motorsports. The experience with them really lived up to the hype. Better service, qualitly, and work than the Lexus Dealership I go to. Owners were very friendly, John even picked me and my girlfriend up at Great Mall back to the shop (Bad experience Enterprise). I have a 98 sc300 which was due for her 60k serivce (she had 68k) and after the work was done, she ran better than before. Comming back next week to get my new rotors which i need since the ones i have now is warped. John found that out during the test drive. i always wondered why my wheel shakes when i brake at 45+ speeds. Overall, great shop, great work, and great people. Shoutout to tirerack too, great place for tires too which i had them installed by Exact.

Have you guys ever heard of Made In Japan autoservice? I was wondering if they were good, the old owner of my car said they were and it was cheap. I have to do a 90k service soon, and was wondering where to go and a place that is cheap, 1,000 or lower. He said he asked Made in Japan and quoted it for 900.

Hi. $900 is not cheap & it's not expensive depending on what's going to be replaced for 90k service. Your car is due for timing belt service & tune-up at 90k. Normally at our shop, we will recommend you to replace timing belt, t-belt tensioner, t-belt idler, water pump, front crank seal, air filter, oil filter, 6 spark plugs, engine oil, transmission oil, coolant, brake fluid, rear differential fluid, p/s fluid, balanced & rotate tires, check brake system, check over all the car. so if you plan to do all the recommendation, it will be cost over $1,000 at our shop. So before you plan to bring your car to any shop, ask what's going to be included in the 90k service, because all repair shop service menu for 30k/60k/90k are all different.

The old owner had tune-ups and other checks and oil changes every 5k, and he had records, I'm currently asking for them to see what I need, so I can ask you guys from EXACT for a quote. Thanks
