Lexus friendly shops
Might be searching the wrong threads but I was wondering If and where are there are any reputable shops that members her on CL have taken there LS to, specifically a 1st gen. One that know what they're doing and someone who gives you what you pay for. I'm looking to get a leaking front crank seal fixed. Preferably local to north California, Livermore area.
Thanks in advance

Autotronics of San Mateo
I am looking for feedback from those of you who have serviced your Lexus at Autotronics of San Mateo before.
Autotronics is at 609 S. Claremont St., San Mateo, CA
I see they have really good price:
90k service 6 cyl, 8 cyl.
Timing belt: 6 cly, 8 cyl (water pump, tensioner, idler pulley are extra)
Front pads replacement
Rear pads replacement
Brake flush
Four wheel laser alignment
Those are very good prices ...
They do have a few good reviews on Yelp, but they don't yet show up on Angies List.
My question is: are they any good for Lexus work? If you have dealt with them before please share you experiences with us. Thank you.

Japanese Beetle of Sunnyvale for Lexus work
I searched on Yelp and Angies List for Lexus mechanics near Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara.
One shop that jumped out at me was Japanese Beetle of Sunnyvale. They are located at 928 El Camino Real near Wolfe Road in Sunnyvale.
They have excellent reviews on Yelp and Angies List. If you have serviced your Lexus with them please share your experience with us here on Club Lexus. (e.g. as to quality of work and pricing) Thank you.

Bascom Trim and Upholstery re-did my driver seat many years ago (93 LS). They did a great job (fixing the cable inside and installed new leather at bottom of my seat). However, they are not cheap. Kind of pricy actually. But in my case I feel I got what I paid for, they did a great job.

I agree with everyone else here on Exact Motorsport. I didn't wanna scroll 40 pages, but another good shop I trust would be Motorsport Technique in Hayward.
Exact did my 30k service approx. 10k miles ago on my IS350. I also had them do a tranny flush and resurface my rotors. They did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them!
I had Motorsport Technique install my coils. I didn't know exactly how low I wanted my car at, so I told them one pinky gap between fender and tire. It was at one pinky gap on stocks, but I wasn't too happy with it, so they readjusted all four and slammed my ish.
Gotta thank both these great shops! :]

Shop recommendation in the bay area
Hello
I just recently acquired my 1st ls400 (it's a 93 by the way) and I m new to the lexus scene.
Anyway does anyone know of any good shops (lexus specialist) for
- timing belt change and repairs
- regular maintenance
- suspension works
- etc.
I live in san mateo area so anything around would be preferable
Thanks a lot in advance
