Default 2IS Sunday Cruise Meet (Palo Alto to Woodside) 7/30/06 @ 10am-noon

TITLE: 2IS Sunday Cruise Meet (Palo Alto to Woodside)

DATE: Sunday, 7/30/06 @ 10-noon

CENTRAL MEETING POINT: Starbucks
4131 El Camino Real
Palo Alto, California 94306

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.ad...ate=ca&zipcode=

***Starbucks is a good place to meet since there's a starbucks right there and people can park NEXT DOOR at Tofu House. For those not familiar w/ the area, it's very close to Fuki Sushi. if still not sure, go to mapquest. But it's on El Camino b/w Pagemill/ oregeon expressway and Charleston/Arastradero.***

***PLEASE plan to arrive at Starbucks 10:00AM sharp. We will have a light snack and coffee for 15-20 min. and will start the Cruise route at 10:25AM. If you arrive late, you may be able to catch us thru the route (see Cruise route details below)***

**The actual start and end time for the cruise route will take approx. 1 hour. After that you may leave or hangout in Woodside if you wish.***

**Please bring a camera if you have one. there will be several photo ops along the way. Also, bring a walkie talkie, if possible. This will help us to keep the convoy together and not lose anyone w/ STOP and traffic lights/signs.***

------------------------------------
CRUISE ROUTE DETAILS
------------------------------------
1. go up pagemill (good uphill twisties)
2. rt turn on Skyline Blvd (hwy 35?)-- pretty straight. speed limit is ~50 (but people usually go faster)

5. Rt. on Kings Moutain Road and you will end up on Woodside Road (Hwy 84) again.
6. Make Left on Woodside road
7. We'll end up in downtown Woodside and we'll pick a place to end the meet there. probably another Starbucks!

Check the NorCal Section... you just missed a BIG ONE last saturday...

there are few mini meets coming up.. leading up to the END OF SUMMER meet. (Will be a LARGE meet between Norcal/SoCal/ and maybe Arizona peeps?)

You should check out the NorCal Forum.

The big meet is the End Of Summer meet in Fremont on September 24th. We SoCal people are going to convoy a "few dozen" cars from here to there. That should be a really big (perhaps biggest) turn-out to date in CL history...

I'll be there!

In the meantime, are there any mini meets specifically for 2IS owners in the Bay Area? If not, anyone interested?

Cool! Let me know when this will take place. I'll have to trek there from the East Bay. For sure I can't make it if it will be the weekend of July 1st as my son will be baptized. But looking forward to the meet, I hope it happens.

Smile Sunday Drive

I'm game for a Sunday drive! Although we can open this to anyone, I think it might be a good idea to have a majority of IS' present. Seems like there are quite a few of them out there, but we've had a couple of pretty big meets already and only 2 or 3 show up. I think there's a misconception that the meets are only for cars that are modded--this is so far from the truth. It's more networking, finding out what or what not to do, comparing problems/solutions and alot of Q&A. This is a great way to bring new Lexus owners/CL members out to meet each other so you won't be so intimidated WHEN (not if) you go to the EOS meet in September.
And if we're really lucky, sometimes a member shows up with CL stickers!

Teeman -

Hopefully most of the mods will be done by than and would be nice to do up the twisties!

Also headed back to the track sometime in mid-july with some coworkers, once we figure out dates I'll see if anybody wants to up as well.
