A Hunter 9700 is required for the Road force balance you can find it here for yourself :

Every Lexus Dealer service department in the United States does road force balancing with their Hunter Machines.

A little fun fact...Custom Alignment in Mountain View is actually the beta tester for Hunter for several of their wheel balancing and mounting machines. Lexus USA went to Custom Alignment to test out these Hunter Machines. Thanks to Custom Alignment, roadforce balancing is found in every Lexus dealer service dept. in the USA.

and i'd like to add, although they charge relatively expensive compared to other shops, but it's well worth it. all of their techs are sensiors and they tune all cars, from normal to racing

got my gs aligned there, i couldnt' be happier

i also recommend custom alignment. had my SC there for mount/balance tires on my new rims along with corner balance and alignment. Kevin stayed there til 7 working on my car, even tho they close at bout 430-5. They ended up fabricating a custom endlink for me seein as the daizen swaybar in the front wasn't setup neutrally. Overall, I'd say I am VERY happy with their work.

I had America's Tire in Walnut Creek give my tires the GSP9700 treatment.

A ssaid before Custom Alignment in Mountain View.. That's what 5 min from Santa Clara?

Whatever your issues are with suspension , tire balance, etc, Custom Alignment has vast expertise and they know Lexus cars in particular.

We'll be having our Annual Beginning of Summer meet over there some time in the June timeframe.

So whats the difference between getting my alignment done at Lexus vs gettin it done at Custom Alignment. Both have the Hunter 9700 and Lexus will only charge me $99 compared to maybe $200 at Custom.

Hunter 9700 is no longer the latest technology in wheel balancing, the new machines use sonar and lasers instead of actual pressure.

The price is probably a little over a $100, the machine has been out for over 6 months. I have 20" rims on my car and the 9700 did the job for $69.99.
