Lexus has launched an 11-city Lane Changing: Ride+Drive Experience for the 2014 Lexus IS. So why haven't you heard about it on the Front Page of our site or in The Car Chat forum? Because of recent trends by Lexus to make these events highly targeted and by invitation-only. We have been advised, however, that there are still a number of available slots for the 8th stop on the tour, in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

Guests can experience the Lexus vehicles on 3 tracks:

Competitive Autocross - test the all-new 2014 IS against the Audi A4, BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Timed Autocross - race the IS 350 F SPORT against the clock. The person with the shortest time in their sessions gets a hot lap in the LFA (as a passenger, of course).

F-SPORT Autocross - test the performance of the CT F SPORT, GS F SPORT and LS F SPORT.

The event takes place this coming Sunday 18 August at
Gillette Stadium
One Patriot Place
Foxborough, MA 02035

There are five sessions available, each of approximately 1½-2 hours duration:
7:45 AM
9:30 AM
11:15 AM
1:00 PM
2:30 PM

I have to say I attended this event on Sunday with pretty high expectations,, and.. Lexus exceeding them all. What a superbly designed, organized and run event.

jruhi4 if you have the opportunity please pass along that the track, event, and food staff were beyond top notch and I'm truly looking forward to hopefully having more Lexus events like this in the area.

If anyone is given a change to attend one of these in the future my advice is GO! The cars, venue and food made for a perfect afternoon.

Glad you enjoyed it! I also immensely enjoyed the Miami event last month, not least because it turned into a full-on impromptu my.IS local meet.
