Passing along some info of a good place to get some work done
I was searching around for a place to repair a few little holes (from support rods ripping out) in my front bumper, put my new anceltion lip/canards on. Then spraying it all. I usually ask Jeff Tsai to do a lot of work for me but of course he doesnt paint and he's often busy.
I found a guy that turns out to be like 5 miles from me (far for most of you all but worth the drive) in Aubrey, TX, which is just north of highway 380 about midway between denton and northwest frisco. some of you in the performance scene might know of him but I didnt
He's independent and has years of experience. Before actually contacting him I was skeptical to contact some random independent guy in such a small town, expecting find a garage with a few old muscle cars up in rural Aubrey, but he has a lot full of supras that he buys, works up and resells. He does 2jz swaps all the time, for those of you that CAN do that swap , and works on Lexus' a lot. He can do just about anything but alignment jobs and is amazingly affordable. You certainly don't pay for atmosphere if you're interested in wifi, computers, beverages, a lunch kiosk and 20 TV's. But I personally don't care to pay for all that.
He's fixing my bumper, attaching new anceltion lip and canards, painting it all and my engine bay covers. Also flushing my brake fluid. All for $400, which is about what it would cost a normal paint shop to spray the bumper alone. He was only going to charge me $200 to repair bumper, paint it, install and paint new lip kit but I opted to do the engine covers ($150) and brake fluid flush ($50) when I found out how reasonably priced it was. Getting the car back Monday, maybe Tuesday so I'll let you know how it turns out. In talking with this guy for a week or so, I have complete faith.
His name is Larry. 817 841 4284. Tell him Patrick referred you and I'm sure you'll get as good of a hookup. He also might do work at his home in Fort Worth if you're near there and dont want to make the hike to Aubrey but I'm not certain. I'd definitely recommend him over any dealer not just for price but for those of you with highly modified cars or those looking to modify your ride

I doubt it. I think he is actually affordable (rather, what I consider 'fair priced') because he doesnt actually have a business-front or website and any of that stuff.
It's taking a weeee bit longer than expected but I figured it wouldnt get a whole lot of work done on sunday. I'll be getting it back tomorrow or wednesday at the latest. Ill post pictures when done.
