[EVENT] National Cancer Survivors Day Car Show 6/7/2009 4-7PM

National Cancer Survivors Day Car Show, a car show that raises money for the Life After Cancer Workshop. To enter a vehicle, and ALL vehicles are welcome, in the show, it is a $10 donation and you get one door prize ticket and one vote along with your entrance card. For everyone, even those without a vehicle entered, additional votes or door prize tickets can be purchased at $1 each, with no limit on either one. Again, all of the money donated goes towards the Life After Cancer Workshop, as all costs for putting on the event have been provided, free, by many sponsors. Here are some details about the show:

Don't mean to encroach on another forum, but Scott sent me this link when he posted it here. I am the organizer of this event and wanted to post a quick update so everyone who is interested is aware of what's going on.
First, thank you Scott for posting this here, I really do believe in this event and it means a lot when others help out where they can.
The answer is yes, it is $1 for each vote or for one raffle ticket, and there is no limit on how much you can donate.
Now for the update:
Got back from my honeymoon really late Thursday night, spent most of yesterday trying to finalize a few things. Talked with Pam, the manager of the Cvetko Center, and found that we have already raised $900...
Let's keep getting the word out, I am going to a show in Garland this morning, and I believe there is the Monthly Muscle Show this evening in Plano. Finally, if you are interested in helping out with the show, send me a PM and I will give you my cell phone number. It looks like I may need some help with the basics at the registration table.
Finally, for door prizes, we have the following:
- Free tire balance/rotation at Discount Tire in The Colony (2x)
- Golf Bag
- The Detail Dude detail packages (unknown qty.)
- Dallas Eye Care $250 discount for Ray-Ban sunglasses (can be used for normal sunglasses or perscription)

Car's cleaned and I'm just going to finish getting ready and should be out there by noon. I'll have a sign up on Belt Line, just East of DNT. We should have everything ready to go for the first participants before 3:00p. If you aren't showing, feel free to come on by and enjoy the cars and good food for a bit.
