Thanks for the comments guys. I'm thinking the car will be sold in the next few days. Have someone coming to check it out tomorrow (supposedly with a check) and if they don't buy it someone who already looked at the car is coming back on Tuesday or Wednesday with cash in hand...
...though I haven't received a penny yet so if you want it, it's still up for grabs.
And something about this car makes you want to travel the world I suppose. I quit my job last July and traveled through 26-countries before ending up here in Australia.

I don't know you or the person who purchased your car but be very careful with checks. I have heard horror stories of bank checks being cashed only to find out weeks later the check was fraudulent. Best of luck with the sale

Thanks for the heads up, but the guy seemed like a good guy and he lives in the town next to mine and I have his home address so I should be ok.
Car is SOLD - now time to pick up something JDM here in the Australia that you can't get in the states...
