Let me clarify that you only need to put your name on the list if your going to participate in the AutoX. If your just going as a spectator you do not need to add yourself to the list.

Just a update here, the event is a go as planned and we all are looking forward to meet you guys and have a great time doing some autox. with all of you.
I've received a message from the solo chairman at SCCANYR and they are running approx 50 participants this weekend due to a national event thats happening at the same time upstate. THIS MEANS ... we can get more runs in and a possibility of some fun runs after the event.
FYI, normally with no big events SCCANYR can host up to 120 drivers or more with 6-8 runs each person depends on how well registration and the actual run event goes. with approx. 50 participants not including us we can probably get 10 or more runs in..
For none autox. participants, we will allocate a section in the parking lot so all of us can stay together. please keep in mind that nassau coliseum charges parking fee after a certain time depends on their schedule so be aware.
A few reminders on some tech inspection stuff here for those whose going to be autox.
1- please bring your registration fee and be at the site no later than 8:00 am for registration.
2- Battery- it must be secured, check for leaks and movement both must not be present at time of tech inspection.
3- Loose items- they must be removed prior to tech inspection, i.e. boom boxes, nitrous oxide bottles, and loose wirings etc. smaller things like stuff in the glove box, mats, and your spare tire kit can be removed once onsite. leave the big expensive stuff at home.
4- suspension/wheels/tires- check your suspension components over, check ball joints, control arms for play, shocks and struts for any visible leak, all wheels must be torqued to spec. 80 ft lbs on lexus. all of your tires should have at least 4/32 unless your are running race tires and tire pressure should be slightly higher than normal. i normally start between 38-45 lbs and bleed down or add from there. i'll have a torque wrench, pressure gauge and a "small" portable air compressor on site in case any of you need it.
5-Brakes- fluid should be at normal level and no external leaks. pads should have at lease 4 mm of pad liner remaining. if you have not bleed your brake fluid in the past two years, its a good time to get it done prior to the event.
6- bring a helmet if you have one, if not dont worry, they have loaner helmets available.
lastly dont forget your sun blocks....
feel free to add anything that i have missed... the above is not the rule but are things that should be checked and make sure of. the faster we can go through tech the faster we can get the event goings so its up to everyone to make that happen.
one final things, for those whos going to autox. please email me at bhsu@rallye.com with your full name, car make, model and year. i need to put a list together for SCCA participant registration.
SCCA runs their event rain or shine so we are hoping for great weather and are looking forward to meet your guys.
