Here's the recap. It was decided that a monthly meet here in the tri-state area would be done. It would give those who normally don't come out to the spur of the moment meets something to look forward to. Every month the meet will move to one of the 5 boros and/or its surrounding county (Westchester/nassau/etc.) to help achieve this. Any suggestions and/or comments to improve these meets are always welcomed and its not just open to NYC NELOC. ANY NELOC MEMBER FROM ANYWHERE CAN ATTEND!!!!!!

Locations for meets (NOT SET IN STONE and it can be switched up upon demand):
February - Queens
March - Brooklyn
APRIL - Bronx
MAY - Manhattan
JUNE - Staten Island
JULY - Westchester
AUGUST - nassau

Ok, it was discussed but the location was never set in stone for the first meet. The first locale was set for it to be in QUEENS. So lets get suggestion on the exact location in Queens. It may be cold so we definitely need somewhere to park the cars. So if everyone is wiling we can hang and go get a bite/drinks or something like that.

...could there maybe be one in CT sometime during the summer (June-August)? When I move back home driving to NY is a much longer ride than it is while I'm in CT.

cool, I think bolder creek for queens is a good place to meet up for the first meet because most of us know how to get there now, also we should vote where to meet up every month if we can; it will be far to the majority of members,(not trying to be mean to the people who live further).

How about a meet in CT the first weekend in July....for the ALMS race up in Lime Rock? I'm going to the race anyway, so why don't we make a meet out of it?

Not a problem. We can do a thread for possible locations but that can be decided later. Right now we need to focus on Feb. 25th and a queens location. Any suggestions.

Nah..its cool I just want to resolve the location for feb.25th, get that out the way and then keep it movin and plan more stuff for us this year.

What about a meet at Englishtown Racetrack. I know the sponsor of the Wheelie contests held several times during the summer. They also have test and tune nights during the week. Maybe we could get something special going. There is nothing like hanging out in the pits.
