Quick snap of a Citizen watch. The 100mm macro is wearing thin, the narrow band of focus-DOF is Going to get my hands on a 90mm T/S lens and redo a lot of shots to see how it does. Hard to always position the subject parallel-direct on the plane of focus, the look is boring. Thoughts? I do like the background blur which works well for close-up even when stopped down.

I need to get out and shoot more. My camera is just rotting away.

Hand held @ 50mm 1/20s. No editing, just re-sized. Quite surprised by how low the (lens) distortion is at this distance. Any thoughts on how to improve this image?

The warmish days are ahead...interesting to see the subjects change with the seasons. Cuttooth has the nice weather year round.

A grab from the niece's golf tournament with the G9. I'd have brought the SLR with 400mm but that rig makes her nervous and the flappy shutter isn't a welcome sound. Her sand trap hit.

No matter how much wiping and blowing dust off black subjects, there is till far to much time cloning the stuff off. At this screen size, it doesn't show but full size...ugh.

A slightly over exposed, unrealistic variant of the series. Interesting that the props maintained being black but the case on the watch went greyish. If Casio would do a version, I kinda like it. The one above is realistic.

Only way around that is smaller aperature or focus stacking with multiple shots and layers in photoshop or some other software.
As far as the 90mm ts the closest focus is 1.6 ft so use with extenders might work. THis is a very specialized lens though.

Shot with my 7-year-old Nikon D80. Sorry about the dirty lens.

Hmm, what did I do wrong? Why is it posted small?

1. I know, bad shot. But this is the front of the race.

I briefly had it on one of the shop rental cameras with a 12mm extension tube. Was just as I thought it would be. Won't know for sure until I get one to use for a week. Some of the other guys that shoot product use this lens but they aren't doing the macro shots I usually do.

I played with your photo links, it looks to me that you have sharing restricted. Only way to view each image is directly on your Flickr pages. Enable sharing then you should be able to link the images.

Fixed. Hmm, pics are either washed out or blurry. I'd say the best are 3, 4 and 7.

Ten points to anyone who can guess with which lens I took these shots. Hint: It's a Nikkor lens.

^ Sorry, but there is a ton of motion blur and shake. I am not sure it was intended or not.
