The blur is refraction errors. The lens element/s are not aligned-ground or installed precisely and allow the light rays to strike at a different area on the sensor/film plane. This unintentional "bokeh" is . Percy's the one to explain this.

Man I just love this lens. Not loving the vignetting so much but it's still pleasant when you work it in.

Golf shots with the G9 and G15. 2X and 1.5X attached and some without. Pretty challenging to use a P&S for action. I didn't think a slight shutter delay was that apparent but it can be significant with motion. Focus is also not as speedy even when pre-focusing. Had a fun time with some 290 frames between the two cameras. She didn't even know when I was shooting other than the camera was pointed at her. She isn't comfortable with me even having a camera on the golf course. She keeps telling her dad, "No pictures!". He tells her to "concentrate". LOL...

Enjoy Lightroom 5.4. I didn't think the radial filter would be useful but I tend to use it quite frequently. Since the P&S has tremendous DOF, being able to go in an remove clarity and sharpness with the brush is useful. Sill not a substitute for a 2.8 tele but it does allow a reasonable amount of manipulation to get a desired look. Much more practice needed.

Haven't had a whole lot of time to shoot recently, but was glad to get out this weekend. Went to Grounds for Sculpture out in Hamilton, NJ and they basically have giant replicas of different artwork and people

Sometimes I wonder what rolls through the artist's mind, #6 and #8...brrrrr. Thanks for sharing those.

Was at the body shop when I heard this thing coming. The 5D-C is no speed demon and it hit the write buffer wall far to quickly on approach. It didn't fire at the spots I truly wanted it. By the time it recovered, it had passed. Found a spot to hang out and wait for these on future shots.

5D-C with 40mm.

It's actually a pretty cool place. A good amount of people were there so not that creepy It did get a bit hard to tell when you were looking at real people sitting still or statues after a while
