Great link Don, thanks for sharing that My encounters are similar with macro shots due to the DOF. A P&S allows me to have a slightly different image perspective. Others I know use tilt shift lenses but that is a $$ solution. Michael Paul Smith

just got a 17-40/4 i'm enjoying. missed the 10-22 i had on my 7d.
of course this shot isn't wide angle, but anyway...

The 17-40 can be fun, as an L lens, it has a nice bang:$ ratio.

not in your league guys, but thought this was a nice halloween setting locally...

how could i have improved this, or what additional editing might i do?

An evening shot or a B&W conversion for more drama. The color of the sky seems a bit off. I like the lush greens, tropical climates are enjoyable to see that type of of green.
