Digging through older pics that had not been post processed. (Looking for train pics from past Japan trips. Anyway...)

Nice, you've been working on those long exposure shots lately. I haven't done anything longer than 2-5's. Not enough to get the clouds moving like your shots.

Thanks!

This one was actually only about 3 minutes. It was pretty windy that evening though so the clouds were moving fast.

Got one a couple of weeks ago on the night of the full moon that was 11 minutes. It's still in voting so I'll post it up next week.

I took a day trip up to Greenville to meet up with another CL member for some mountain shenanigans and a little bit of hiking. Here are some of my favorite non-automotive shots:

10) This memorial was on the side of the trail next to the waterfalls pictured in the first two shots. It's a sobering reminder of how careful you need to be when traversing over wet rocks, especially near fast-moving streams.

Learned on a trip to DC that the 24-70 has a lot more distortion on a FF cam.

The Canon 24-70 or Nikon? I notice similar when tipped up for a shot. Correctable but depending how much angle, the perspective is skewed. I've been debating a tilt-shift capable lens. Only part I'm unsure of is how a stitch would be.

Nikon. Wasn't that noticeable on the D7000 but I'll deal

A before-after: from camera and after some slider adjustments.

pretty proud of this one. this is straight from the camera, just resized. it was a very difficult shot to get exposed properly.
