Default June '13 - Please NUMBER and post your pics of the month here

I'll kick things off with a pic from the 26th annual Shriner's Hospital St. Louis European Auto Show. More to come in the next couple days.

Thanks!!

Yes it is a shark. It's head is similar to a ray, but it's tail (which you can't see) looks like a shark. It also has other characteristics that categorize it as a shark rather than a ray like pectoral fins not attached to the head, and gills on it's back rather than underneath. They usually bury themselves in the sand and ambush fish when they swim by. This one was on the move.

I was lucky to get this shot. I was heading back in along where the kelp meets the sand after being underwater for 70 minutes and low on air. The angel shark swam out of the darkness right in front of me and scared the crap out of me and then immediately retreated into the kelp. I followed it but then lost him while I was turning my strobe back on, and then out of nowhere it came right towards me which is when I captured the shot. Then it was gone again and my dive buddy never even saw it.

Another shot from Rome. This one taken in the Vatican. I got some shots with no one on the stairs but chose to go with this frame becuase i think the people give the structure scale.

I've been very busy this weekend shooting. Here's a small taste of what I've been up to:

2) For this one I wished I had moved further up to where the fence is. But oh well.

One of the neighbor's plants began blooming and I was able to get a nice snap of one of the flowers.

@racersky, those are some very nice grad photos! I like the processing as well. Definitely my kind of shots.
