That's an amazing view.
I had to look up the height of the observation deck, it is 452 m -1,483 ft. That's crazy high for a structure.

The crazy part is that the lift takes practically no time and barely moves at all

I just completed a 5 day, 60 mile portion of the John Muir Trail (Mammoth Mountain to Yosemite Valley). The Eastern Sierras provide some of the most beautiful scenery California has to offer.

This was one of my favorite areas of the backpacking trip. Thousand Island Lake / Banner Peak.

New watch arrived and before it becomes beaten up from wear, snapped these few off.

Shot through a south facing window at the time indicated on the watch. A moving light source is so much fun. The seconds had trails worked nicely. Pic #2 you can count how many steps it moves for a full 1 second exposure.
