On the first shoot not sure where you wanted to create your focus point the rim or the gtr
The second to over exposed on a white it washes out the whole top angle then again this a car forum and I still like it
The black IS the trailer hitch is to distracting also flash to hard on the body needs more softing to it
The Benz and dash I like ...then again this my opinion I'm no expert ....

Hey Vroomin, here are my opinions, take it for what it's worth.

1) I'm not sure what the subject in this shot is. The GT-R or the 8 ball rims. Either way just try to capture as much of the subject as possible while avoiding background distractions. At car shows this can be really difficult though.

2) I like the shot of the IS-F. The only problem with it is that it is partially over-exposed, which is why it's kind of hard to see the roof line of the car. This could be corrected in PhotoShop or another image editor pretty easily though.

3) In my experience, using the on-camera flash is a no-no when doing night shots, 9 times out of 10 it the light it produces will be uneven on the photo. It would look better if you put your camera on a tripod and either used a remote flash setup (expensive) or improvised with flashlights and work-lights, basically whatever you have. Night shooting is awesome because it offers a lot of flexibility for being creative but it's also challenging. I'd also face the camera more towards the car. About half of this image is of a trailer hitch.

4) I like this shot. If you captured the push button in focus just a bit more I think the shot would be perfect.

5) I also like this one, the lights reflecting off of the pavement is very cool.

Keep it up! The more you get out there the better photos you'll take! May I ask what you're shooting with?

Hey guys,

I am just now starting to learn how to use this camera. So many buttons

1) for the first picture my intentions were to blurr out the mini coopers wheels and focus on the GTR but I didnt focus on it enough.

2) the second picture was really more of an angle situation, definitely over exposed like you guys mentioned, kinda wanted to know how you guys felt about the angle..

3) dont know why the hell I got so much of the hitch there
looks like its about to tow something lol. This is why I want to learn, the whole time I thought the exposure in this picture with flash was pretty darn good since the wooden fence looked so real, wont make that mistake again !!!

4) I too wish I had focused on the push start a little more, seems I have a problem with this focusing situation

5) My old car... this picture I took 5 days after getting my camera. Honestly I didnt know what the hell I was doing but the Live View feature on my Canon Rebel XS definitely helped me out.

Thanks for all the constructive critismn guys, I look forward to taking some more!!

Try taking more shots while in Manual Mode. That way you can set the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO yourself so you have full control over how the photos turn out.
