Default Looking for help - intermittent Audio Problem

I'm hoping someone can give me some ideas here.

A Couple of days ago, while playing a CD, sound went to a hiss. Switched CD, played for a few minutes same thing happened. Radio was working fine.

Then yesterday I had zero sound from my speakers. All controls, including CD changer seemed to be working, display was fine, etc but I was getting no sound, not even the hiss.

Today, everything is back to normal and works fine.
This is a 98 GS4 with Nakamichi system in it.

I'm thinking it must be a power lead or maybe the amp, but I don't know where to start investigating. Of course the dealer can do anything unless the problem happens while the car is there.

Also, where is the amp in the car? I would atleast like to check the connections.

thanks,
Josh

Lightbulb dude....

That sucks. Sorry I don't know what to do but did you notice you posted in the classifieds section? Re-post in the electronics forum. Good luck!
