i just saw your add...ugh! you seem in tune with this stuff. I was looking to run 3 of these old subs due to the hit, sound, and the ohms while running 3 of them. Suggest anything with the newer subs? Run 2 of the newer 10w6 or run 2 of the 10w7? what is going to be comparable or anyone that can chime in. I am not going to compete here or anything, just for fun. I can run 3 of the new 10w6 also but they are 4ohm dual voice coils where the old ones are 6ohms.
thanks for the link, man you gave those 2 subs away, if that deal falls through hit me up please

Not sure how you roll. but imo, 210w7 would give more womp than 3 of those old 10w6s
10W6v2 are about 100-150 cheaper per sub and are excellent speakers. but they aren't the "flagship" of the JL line. if you're going to spend the money, i'de get W7.
from your signature it seems like you've got a new GS w/ spoke wheels. so you probably aren't into the SP/DUB scene.
what I would do is get ONE or two 10W7, or two 10W6v2 (depending on your budget) and if you want to set it up for looks. (I'de go with ONE 10 or 12W7)
you can get more, or go bigger (12, 13) but it's going to be a lot of bass. you'll also have to use a lot of dynomat...
I'm not really into big bass, and more into SQ. don't neglect your midbass, and stage up front. I'm guessing you aren't planning on changing out your stock speakers up front, so dont drown it all out with heavy bass.
good luck

I say go with 2 10" of the w6v2. Why? Because many of these w6 will be more than 10yrs old and the remainder of their life is questionable. I bought 2 of these w6 that were in perfect condition but not a month later the surrounds started tearing and crumbled like sand with mild use. I tried repairing the surrounds but they never sounded the same (pops at moderate to high volume). Same thing happened to my brother who picked up 3 on ebay. A month or two later his started popping too. He ditched them and went with 2 10w6v2's and never looked back.
So unless you can find them new (probably impossible) or very lightly used I'll just save that money towards the v2's.
