FS: JL Audio 10w7 Subwoofer.. read details
I am selling one of my JL 10w7-3 subwoofers.. something in my trunk pierced the cone and I had it professionaly removed. I called JL direct and they told me it would be roughly $150, shipped, to repair. I decided to just sell it to someone that would like some nice clean bass in their ride, since just the one that i have in my trunk does more than it's job for me. I just had these woofers installed about 3 weeks ago, and only drive to work and back.. so this woofer is still not even broken-in. I gotta say that the bass that these things produce is simply awesome for a 10" woofer.. Just the one in my car hitts harder and cleaner and my friend's 2 JL 12" w6 woofers.
These retail at $475-$600...
My asking price is $150... so for $300 you'd have a brand new 10w7.... I will ship the woofer anywhere in the US for free.
Like I said before, the cone was professionaly removed by an authorized JL dealer, the sub was inspected, and was found to be in perfect condition. All it needs is the new cone section which is $150 through JL..

I'll get some pics today, and upload them tonight or tomorrow morning.
I spoke to my installer, and he showed me why it is so easy to replace the cone. You have to undo the surround just to mount the sub, it isnt glued down, which i guess is unique to the w7 subs. So all there is is attaching the cone to the coil or something.

I had the sub for 2 weeks before the cone got pierced. It is still for sale, and won't work right now due to the fact that the cone has been removed. You would have to send it out to JL and they will re-cone it. It is a very common thing when people put too much wattage or something pierces the cone. They offer a specific service for it. The sub is in immaculate condition, and for the price of the repair, it is totally worth it. These subs hit HARD... I only have about 300 rms going to it and it BANGS..
