what do yo umean your jl 1000/1 amp is new you never used it? still in box? will that amp run 2 12 w7's?

The JL 1000/1 is brand new in the box, never used, nevr removed form the box. The 1000/1 will run any subs you throw at it...with authority.

well i have one 12 w7 right now with the 500/1 but was wanting to upgrade to two 12s and a 1000/1......what would i need to buy to make this happen...new alternator capacitors or what?

I was running four JL amps before on the stock alternator with no issues at all, two 500/1's and 2 300/2's. What I was planning to do, again on the stock alternator, was go with the 1000/1, and two 450/4's. Obviously my plans have changed, but I dont think you will need anything special as far as electrical system upgrades. I did have a 1 farad capacitor on the system, phoenix gold. If you buy the amp I will give you the cap for an additional 40 bucks...I paid $120 for it new. Its been used for very minimal hours, I never drove the damn car.

I am selling the amp for $610, and I said I would give you the cap for $40. I am located in Maryland, and I guarantee it will push two 12w7's.
