Don't use any LCD's so not sure on their replacement, sorry!

OLT - hoping to replace blackened LCD on a Nakamichi radio in a 98 ES300. Conventional wisdom seems to indicate that replacement displays are no longer available - short of finding one on Ebay. Is that really the case? Local dealer quoted me $1350 for a whole new radio and suggested I go for an aftermarket fix, but I'd prefer OEM. Thanks for any advice.
