Very informative and a great research. I just bought the 2005 Sc430 Pebble Beach edition. My wife always wanted a Black Car with Red Leather. Hope to chat with you from time to time to seek your advise counsel. I usually do my own routine maintenance and just love to tinker with cars.

Hey, I love the look of your car. I noticed your headlight housing is painted black. I bought an SC430 about a week ago and have been researching how this is done. I couldn't find any about the SC430, but most others involve putting the headlights in an oven, etc... Did you paint and dis/reassemble it yourself? It would be great if you could help me out on how you did it. Thanks!

Could you plz tell me if you are happy with it and can you read any text on your head unit and how does it connect on your radio. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated. thx

SCDropTop ---checking out the forum and have enjoyed your posts. Don't know how to do this yet so i sent you a msg. Also live in the DFW area. Just bought a 2006 SC430 in Madador Red with 49K on it. Being a woman, its hard to tell whether the dealer is telling you true or not. Have you experienced a 'clicking/clunking' noise after backing up and then coming to a stop after moving forward? They say it is normal but it's way too frequent and noisy for me. Advice? Got lots of questions about this cute lil car. thx

    SC,

I can see lots of member hit you on finding an LS, and guess what? I want one too.

Sorry for the smarta*s comment, anyway ...

Any tips on finding an '06 or '05 that's loaded? Any good resources other then the forum about what to look for?

My GF will be trading in her '03 ES300 with the local Lexus dealership if he can find one.

Obviously I'm looking for as mint a car as possible, optioned out to the hilt, and low miles. I know, I know ... we're talking rare animal here. But we have at least three months to burn to find the right one.

Anyway, that's it. I'd appreciate anything you have to offer about the search. We're up in SLC, UT. And man, is it cold.

    Best,

    DocEye

Hi SC..Bob posted a question, which no one has answered..can you advise??
my SC has 54,000 miles since new, driven mostly in the city. When I go over a bump, manhole cover, large seam in the pavement,...there is a "secondary" vibration that I feel through the suspension...kid of like a "ripple"...when I compare my 02 with my wife's '04, her car does not have the same feel...feels '"tighter"...anyone been here before? Shocks? Suspension bushings?

    Thanks SC.. ( Katy)

Hey guy, I tell my friends if I was Bill Gates I would not buy new. Last new car I bought was in 1974, gas crisis, a Mercury Capri, made in Germany. You're right about the depreciation, I love three year old , off lease cars, very well maintained and generally driven by professionals. Wow, the deals on Ebay are just fantastic. Got to get Katy a car !!

Hey man, just checked the no reserve auction for the 02 in MN, it had 74k on the odometer, went for $ 16,872. It was one owner clean, silver/black, prices are getting good !

LOL...I would love to officially start that. Right now it's just a non-paying hobby. My problem is that I need to actually get my wholesaler license so I can get these cars for the RIGHT price, you know?

I'd love to help you find your Triple Venti Quad Shot Mocha 2006 PB!

Let me know when you are ready!!!

I've sold about five cars casually online as a consumer. The biggest need I see out there right now is what I call the "donut hole" of cars...

People that have good taste like you and I, don't want to buy a "new" car and pay all the depreciation and $1,000/month note or put a bunch of money down, but aren't afraid to get their own financing and take a risk on an older luxury car.

I would love to get my hands on a 2000-2004 ES300 for like $8k and turn around and sell it after I detail it and make it pretty, maybe put some $700 chrome rims/tires on it for like $11-$12k. For example

Maximas, Camrys, Avalons, Altimas, ES300's are all GREAT cars to resell
