For the tranny, I'm using Red Eagle Alto hi-performance overhaul master kit, plus the shift kit from IPT (www.importperformancetrans.com in New Jersey), and Lextreme torque converter. I paid $650 for a shift kit. I had to send the valvebody to IPT to be modified.

what tranny mods do you have. Ive talked to SRT performance in florida about the valve body upgrade. Im not boosted but i like a nice middle of the road shift kit. You know i had a 94 thunderbird SC & i bought a b&m shift kit for like $150 new. SRT wants like 900+ to do a custom v/body.

I have thick Cometic head gaskets to lower the compression, along with ARP head studs. They can make the engine hold up to 500 rwhp and rwtq. I'm running a pre 1995 1UZ engine because it has more beefy rods than the post 1995 1UZ.

you have any internals done for your turbo other than the transmission work? or did you just bolt on and play with it?

    Schultino,

The 98 SC400 is a really nice car. It's faster than the previous model. If you're looking for the complete exhaust system, you can get a set of SS headers or you can search on www.lextreme.com forum. I believe there're other vendors making the headers on this forum. Then you can take your car to a local exhaust shop to complete the rear section. You'll see a noticeable gain for sure, and you'll miss the V8 sound when you sleep.
